Academics
Along with building perpetual bonds of friendship, Tri Delta also strives to broaden the moral and intellectual life of its members. Carnegie Mellon University provides our women with a world-renowned education and we take pride in our academic success. In Spring 2020, Tri Delta had the highest Panhellenic Sorority GPA (3.86) on campus! Various sisters serve as teaching assistants and research assistants on campus. Rho Lamda and Order of Omega, two Greek leadership honor societies, count our sisters among their members.
In order to encourage academic excellence, the Academic Development Chair hosts study hours every week in our house on campus. Not only is it a way to focus on our studies, but a great way to spend time with our sisters and build our sisterhood (in addition to snacking on baked goods)! Our chapter has a tradition of “No Skippy Jar,” which rewards sisters for attending all their classes that week. With many sisters excelling in majors across all colleges and many departments, our chapter members are always able to seek out help and learn from each other.
